Painting a cute little dog!

I was asked to do this painting by friend. I will be printing the image on greeting cards. This puppy, Cody is overwhelmingly cute! And I just love his red sweater!

Chicken on a bike

Just a quick little sketch with digital color of a chicken on a bike.

Drink Product Adds

Obviously this is a personal project... I did as a christmas present to myself. These are all 11x14 hand painted on canvases. You can see larger postings in my Behance file. A link is on my left side bar. I came up with this idea because I just thought it wold be interesting. I did the sketches last spring and decided to use time and money to do the paintings as a christmas present for myself. I believe these really don't fit in my portfolio. They are not real products and they are painted very loosely compared to my usual pieces. I just did them quick for fun. There is more in the series that I just didn't really have time for, an Emerald deer for German beer oh and maybe a tea add as well. When I told people about this project everyone had a suggestion to add. My friend Fii wants me to do an add for Bogie (british slang for cigarettes) with a raccoon. And I remember my friend megan asking me to do a zebra with boxed wine. Bogie is british and boxed wine is well, boxed wine. Im sure you can find it anywhere. So those two might become little paintings for friends. Anyway in the paintings the bear is bringing potatoes for the vodka. The horse grapes for the wine. The crane rice for the sake and the llama beans for the coffee. Oh, this is my 100th blog post. Cool, yay.

Love Birds

A Valentines card in January. Actually This was just a black and white painting I did today. I scanned it and gave it some February color.

Sparky!

In case you didn't know or if you just forgot, Sparky's the bull terrier from Tim Burton's Frankenweenie. I don't know why but I was just in the mood to draw him. When I looked up his picture online... I read on some website(s) that Tim Burton is going to make a new stop animation version of the film in 2012. Sounds cool. I had the original Frankenweenie when I was little and it used to scare me. haha. I sill watched it all the time. Anyway I did this little sketch of sparky.

Coyote, fox and wolf

Three paintings done in gouache and acrylic. Each are 9x12 on canvas. The first I painted was the fox , I painted this because a few weeks ago I saw a Huge fox right below my back deck. This fox was Huge! About the size of a medium dog.... It was kind of alarming. He was a brilliant orange and had the white tipped tail. I have been drawing a lot of foxes since and finally decided to paint one. I think He turned out really nice, and is my favorite in the series. I Painted the wolf and coyote for more practice.
This I posted for Illustration Friday's Deja-vu because the three paintings seemed so similar when I was painting them. Also the fox was very familiar.

Holiday bear and train

One more late post. This is similar to the bear who I painted with the sail boat a few months ago. I used him for Christmas cards. The Gouache original was 7x9.

Christmas cards for a friend

I did these Christmas cards for a friend a few weeks ago.
I haven't had time to make a blog post until now.
The original painting was done in gouache, the type was hand drawn.
