New Website for spring

I made a new website, It took about a whole weekend. So many images to save and so many links to set. Gaah. Hopefully it was time well spent. I added more of my recent work to the site. There is a picture of me on it as well. haha. There are glitches in some of the rollover images. I'm not really sure how this happens, As long as the links work I'm ok with it. I need a break from looking at the computer.!

Many Fish

This is a painted pattern of fishes. They are simple fish made up of lines. Working on a piece like this is a little tedious but I guess its good practice. I like the finished piece. I tried to count how many fish are there but got mixed up. I know there are at least 30. Or 30ish. splash splash

Good Friend

Friends of my family lost a family member last week. Our friends black lab Shadow who I knew as a puppy had passed away. Shadow lived a long happy life with her family. The most interesting thing about this dog is her official name really wasn't Shadow! The dogs official name was, Gold And Silver Wind That Blows Through The Trees Down Yonder, Three Days Past.... ! ..! This was a bit much to call for her to come , so she was fitted with the nickname Shadow. When I found out she passed away, I decided to do this piece for her family. It was a gouache painting colored with digital muted colors. Also I added her "Full" name to the left. She also sits beside two small gold and silver trees. This friend will be missed by all who gave her a pet on the top of her head. (For the Keane's)

Cool cats print

I recently donated this print. Christine Danek a member of scbwi and a YA writer, contacted me and asked if i wanted to take part in a blogger contest . Her blog has a large following, as it turns out the winner is from Utah, she is now the owner of this print. : )

Nine Ball Players

This is a piece I did for spring. It is a whole team of nine baseball players in striped uniforms, including caps. It’s much like a pattern of animals and objects. The animals I choose for the team (ha) are giraffe, elephant, kangaroo, turtle, donkey, bear (who, I think I like the most ) goose, pelican and gator . The other elements in the picture are baseball related. Some grass tuffs, small diamond shapes, a bat , base ball , home plate , baseball mitt ( ~~ which I placed right above the elephants trunk~ because I think it would be most awesome for an elephant to be holding a baseball mitt, its too funny an idea! I might do a follow up piece with just elephants and baseball…heehee ) Everything was painted on the same piece of water color paper the only things added by computer were the diamonds because they were a last minute detail I decided to use . The “All Stars” lettering under the bear was also added afterward. I think I will put this image on my etsy for the spring.
