Good Friend

Friends of my family lost a family member last week. Our friends black lab Shadow who I knew as a puppy had passed away. Shadow lived a long happy life with her family. The most interesting thing about this dog is her official name really wasn't Shadow! The dogs official name was, Gold And Silver Wind That Blows Through The Trees Down Yonder, Three Days Past.... ! ..! This was a bit much to call for her to come , so she was fitted with the nickname Shadow. When I found out she passed away, I decided to do this piece for her family. It was a gouache painting colored with digital muted colors. Also I added her "Full" name to the left. She also sits beside two small gold and silver trees. This friend will be missed by all who gave her a pet on the top of her head. (For the Keane's)
